Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026

This policy explains what information Seller Tracker (sellertracker.net) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific because we collect little.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password itself.
Order data you add: product names, order numbers, stores, quantities, prices, dates, delivery status and notes, plus any buying-account email you choose to tag an order with.
Screenshots you upload: used once to extract order details, then discarded. We do not keep the images.
Referral information: if you sign up with a referral code, we record which code was used.
Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and a record of payments (amount and date). We never see or store your card number.
Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Gift cards. Gift card details you enter (store, balance, card number, PIN, notes) are stored with your account on our servers so they sync across your devices, and are sent only over encrypted connections. We never share them, they are included in your account deletion, and you can export them at any time.

Gmail connection (optional). If you choose Connect Gmail, Seller Tracker asks Google for read-only access to your Gmail. We use it for one purpose: to read order emails from retailers (such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, Costco, Sam's Club, Home Depot, Lowe's and Walgreens) and update your orders automatically. We only request messages from those retailer domains, we never send, delete or modify email, and we do not read anything else in your mailbox. For each retailer email we keep the sender, subject, a short text excerpt, and what changed on your order. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which revokes our access and stops all reading; you can also remove access from your Google Account permissions page. Seller Tracker's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We never use Gmail data for advertising, never sell it, and never let humans read it except to fix a problem you ask us to look at.

How we use it

To run the service: show you your orders and dashboard, calculate cost per unit, track your trial and subscription.
To send essential emails: verification codes, password resets and billing notices. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
To operate the referral program for participants.
To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Seller Tracker, each bound to use it only for that purpose:

Anthropic (AI): receives the screenshots you upload, and the text of retailer order emails you forward or connect, to extract order details. Anthropic does not use this data to train models.
Google (Gmail, only if you connect it): provides read-only access to retailer emails as described above.
Stripe (payments): receives your email and payment details when you subscribe.
Resend (email delivery): receives your email address to deliver our messages.
DigitalOcean (hosting): our servers run in their data centers in the United States.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser's local storage holds your display preferences and a local backup copy of your gift cards. No third-party cookies are set.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account exists. If your trial ends without a subscription, your data is kept so you can return, but you may ask us to delete it at any time. To delete your account and all its data, email us from the address on the account. Backups are kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten.

Your rights

You can access and export your order data from the app, update your email or password, and request deletion. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.

Security

Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored using salted PBKDF2 hashing. Access to servers is restricted and data is backed up regularly. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

Seller Tracker is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here and update the effective date. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email.
